Donation Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: October 11, 2026 · Last Updated: October 11, 2026
1. Overview
Welcome to the donation website of Eruv of Jacksonville, Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These Donation Terms & Conditions govern contributions made through our website to support the maintenance, operation, and continued reliability of the Jacksonville Eruv.
By submitting a donation, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these terms.
2. Purpose of Donations
Donations support the Jacksonville Eruv and its related operating needs, which may include:
- Eruv inspections and monitoring.
- Maintenance, repairs, and replacement of necessary materials.
- Operational and administrative expenses.
- Other reasonable expenses directly related to maintaining and operating the eruv.
Donations may be applied to the expenses we determine are reasonably necessary to fulfill the Jacksonville Eruv’s mission and maintain its operations.
Unless a specific restriction is expressly accepted by us in writing, donations are made to support the overall operation and maintenance of the Jacksonville Eruv rather than a particular expense.
3. One-Time Donations
You may make a one-time donation in an amount offered on our website or enter a custom amount where that option is available.
By submitting your donation, you authorize the applicable payment processor to charge your selected payment method for the amount displayed at checkout.
Please review your donation amount and payment details before confirming your contribution.
4. Monthly and Recurring Donations
If you select a monthly or other recurring donation option, you authorize us and our payment processor to charge your selected payment method for the amount and at the frequency disclosed during checkout.
Recurring donations will continue until canceled.
You may request cancellation at any time by using an available account or subscription management option or by contacting us at the email address listed below.
Cancellation will stop future scheduled charges once it has been processed. A payment that has already been submitted or processed may not be canceled retroactively.
If a scheduled payment fails, we or our payment processor may attempt to process it again or contact you to update your payment information, subject to applicable law and the payment provider’s rules.
We will not intentionally charge a recurring donation at a different amount or frequency without appropriate authorization.
5. Donation Refunds
Donations are generally non-refundable. Because contributions help support the ongoing operation and maintenance of the Jacksonville Eruv, please review your donation carefully before completing payment.
However, we may review refund requests on a case-by-case basis, including requests involving:
- Duplicate transactions.
- Accidental or incorrect donation amounts.
- Unauthorized transactions.
- Technical errors or payment-processing mistakes.
Nothing in this policy limits any refund rights or other rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
To request a review, contact us with the transaction date, donation amount, and transaction reference if available. Please do not email full payment card numbers or security codes.
Approved refunds will generally be returned to the original payment method. Processing times depend on the payment provider and financial institution.
6. Payment Processing
Donations are processed through a third-party payment provider, such as Stripe.
We do not generally store full payment card numbers or card security codes on our own servers. Payment information is handled according to the payment provider’s applicable terms and privacy policy.
You authorize the payment provider to process your transaction in accordance with the information you submit at checkout.
We are not responsible for delays caused by banks, card issuers, or third-party payment networks, but we will make reasonable efforts to assist with donation-related issues.
7. Donation Receipts and Tax Treatment
We may provide an electronic confirmation or receipt after a successful donation.
Tax deductibility is not guaranteed. Whether a contribution is tax-deductible depends on the legal status of the recipient organization and applicable tax law.
Unless we are legally authorized to represent a contribution as tax-deductible, you should not assume that your donation qualifies for a charitable deduction.
Please consult your tax adviser regarding the treatment of your contribution. If a donation is made through a fiscal sponsor or another charitable organization, any applicable acknowledgment and tax treatment will depend on that arrangement.
8. Fundraising Goals and Progress
Our website may display an annual fundraising goal, amounts raised, and progress toward that goal.
Any displayed goal is a fundraising target, not a guarantee that a particular amount will be raised or that every expense will be funded.
Progress figures may be updated as payments are confirmed, reconciled, refunded, or otherwise adjusted. Displayed totals may not immediately reflect pending transactions or later adjustments.
We may modify campaign goals, timelines, or fundraising presentations as reasonably necessary to reflect operational needs.
9. Use of Donations and Changes in Circumstances
We intend to use donations consistently with the purposes described in these terms.
If circumstances change, an expense becomes unnecessary, or funds exceed the amount needed for a particular purpose, we may apply unrestricted contributions to other reasonable expenses supporting the Jacksonville Eruv’s ongoing operation, maintenance, and related mission.
If a donor wishes to impose a specific restriction on a contribution, that restriction must be expressly agreed to by us in writing before the donation is made.
10. Donor Privacy
We respect donor privacy. We do not intentionally display donors’ private payment information, email addresses, or other sensitive personal information on our public fundraising tracker.
Donor information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and may be shared with payment processors, service providers, or other parties where reasonably necessary to process donations, maintain records, provide receipts, or comply with legal obligations.
We will seek appropriate permission before publicly identifying a donor in connection with a contribution, unless disclosure is otherwise legally permitted or required.
11. Errors, Fraud, and Unauthorized Transactions
If you believe a donation was made in error or without your authorization, please contact us promptly so we can investigate.
We may cancel or reverse transactions where appropriate and permitted by law, including transactions involving suspected fraud or payment-processing errors.
You should also contact your bank or card issuer if you suspect unauthorized use of your payment method.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Donation Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our operations, payment systems, fundraising practices, or applicable law.
The updated version will be posted on our website with a revised “Last Updated” date. Changes will apply prospectively to the extent required by applicable law.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our donation website or temporary interruptions in donation processing.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law.
14. Governing Law
These Donation Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
